About
Orange County High School SADD
In January of 2008,
Orange County High School re-established the SADD
program.
Lead by teacher-sponsors David Rabe and Keyode
Rogers, the SADD Club follows the philosophy of
responsibility and empowerment set forth by the
national SADD organization.
The mission of the SADD club at OCHS is to spread
the “No-Use” message. The members of the OCHS SADD
Club oppose alcohol and drug use, but not the
abusers themselves. These members spread the message
of caring, not judging; inclusion, not exclusion.
Students are taking a risk with their peers when
they reject destructive decisions, and SADD members
are there to support their positive decisions. Club
members also support those who have made bad
decisions in the past and help them by providing
positive peer pressure for change.
The OCHS SADD program promotes caring, not only
among its members, but also among families, other
schools, and communities.
